Topic: New Hemroid sufferer

I'm 20yrs old and over weight (220 @ 5'11").  Last Thursday I had a large bowl movement.  A few minutes later, I experienced pain in the anal region.  I was also lifting/moving heavy objects at the time, and think that may be part of the problem.  I don't have a way of looking at it, but it feels like an external hemroid; it's swollen and about the size of a raisin.  Until recently I wasn't doing anything for it, hoping it would go away soon.  I just purchased some Preparation H Hemroid cream and it seems to numb the pain abit, but it doesn't last long.  Is this normal?  How long does a hemroid usually last if treated with this cream?  Is there any reason for me to use the intrarectal tip since it's an external hemroid?  I'm also taking Aleve often to try and counter the pain, and it seems to work more then the cream.  Any advice on getting rid of it fast?  I can't work with it, so the sooner it's gone, the better.

Re: New Hemroid sufferer

hi RadRacer.
Sorry about the late reply, I was in a small vacation.
Your problem is highly unusual. I can say I saw only 4-5 cases of hemorrhoids at this age.
The thing that caused this is probably the weight lifting. If you were doing exercises for feet and back, it's likely that the pressure caused by the effort to affect the vein walls from your anal region.
Preparation H works in some cases.  Has the pain calmed now until this moment? Good thing you are using Aleve. In most of the patients, this works like a charm for the pain, but it's just a moment solution. You have to eliminate the real cause of hemorrhoids. Maybe try another sport, a better diet and so on.
