Hi and welcome.
You seem very stressed. I want to assure you that nothing is going to happen. It will go away, you are right and so does your doctor. First of all, start by removing your attention from it. Just ensure the proper hygiene to the problem and a good diet.
On web you mostly find crap (except our site
, of course). People that had a successful hemorrhoids surgery generally don't share their thoughts on this, for several reasons: time, privacy, etc.
If is still burns after 2-3 days, try a natural solution (check our treatments page). Most probably, the dehydratation produced by the alcohol activated the little monster.
I am also against of curing hemroids with surgery, I always say that this is the last thing patients should do.

Topic: What are protruding hemorrhoids? (0 replies, posted in Fast questions)
Hemorrhoids refer to the swollen veins inside the rectal and the anal region that are painful and cause itching and bleeding. It has been estimated that more than half the population of the world suffer from this condition at least once in their lifetime.
Hemorrhoids are one of the most common conditions that affect both adults and children from all over the world. Some of the symptoms of hemorrhoids include burning sensations, itching, swelling, burning sensations, and inflamed veins in the rectal and the anal regions. The hemorrhoids are characterized by blood in your stools or toilet paper. Knowing your symptoms is just the first step towards curing the problem.
It is important that you educate yourself about hemorrhoids to know the different methods available to treat these. Hemorrhoids can occur anytime and to anyone, without any kind of warning. It is unlikely that you will even realize that you have hemorrhoids until the hemorrhoids has enlarged and is causing you irritation, pain and bleeding.
The exact reason for the occurrence of hemorrhoids is not known. However excessive pressure exerted on the rectal region while passing stool, sitting for long periods and lifting heavy weights are the contributing factors. Pregnant women may also develop hemorrhoids due to excessive pushing of the infant during childbirth.
Hemorrhoids are classified into external and internal hemorrhoids. There are times when an internal hemorrhoid gets pushed out of the anal opening. This happens when the bowel pushes the inflamed portion out. This is known as prolapsed or protruding hemorrhoids. The protruding hemorrhoids may get inside the anus by itself, or it will need to be pushed inside and at times it does not go back at all. This is the first and second degree of protruding hemorrhoids.
There are times when a blood clot may form in the anal region. This is known as thrombosed hemorrhoids. This type of hemorrhoids is extremely painful and causes discomfort. It also has an effect in the blood circulation in that region. This is the third degree of prolapsed hemorrhoids.
The protruding hemorrhoids are itchy and may also leak a fluid. This cases a lot of inconvenience to the person in his/her regular life. It will be difficult to walk, sit and do other regular chores. There might be bleeding in the event of the hemorrhoids getting strangulated. It is required that you get the hemorrhoids examined by a doctor. It is important that you report immediately if you notice any severe symptoms. It is easer to treat first and second degree hemorrhoids. A surgery may be recommended to treat the third degree kind of hemorrhoids.
Both the types of hemorrhoids require proper treatments that will help avoid blood loss and infections. There are a number of treatments that are there to treat the conditions. Some of the options include homeopathy, over-the-counter medicines, herbal remedies, and surgery. However you must try your best to avoid surgery. There are herbal remedies that work very well to reduce the inflammation and the pain. It also helps prevent the recurrence of the condition.
There are many ways you can prevent the occurrence of protruding hemorrhoids. It is important that you make certain changes in your dietary habits to incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily food intake. These contain a lot of fiber and are very helpful to enable you to have a properly functioning digestive system. Fast food should be avoided at all costs. These dietary changes will help you to pass stool without constipation and prevent the occurrence of hemorrhoids.
Another effective way to prevent the condition is to drink a lot of water. This keep the stool soft and you can relieve yourself without exerting excessive pressure in the rectal region. One must avoid the consumption of tea, coffee and other beverages. Also, regular exercises are an important way to improve the blood circulation in all parts of the body and avoid hemorrhoids. However you must take care that you do not do exercises that put a lot of strain on your rectal and anal muscles. This will only aggravate the situation.
The treatment for internal and external hemorrhoids is not the same. It is best to let the protruding hemorrhoids be absorbed into the body slowly over weeks. Warm baths, creams and ointments are very helpful to provide relief. Protruding hemorrhoids are not life threatening and can be very well taken care of.
Protruding hemorrhoids will not persist for over a couple of weeks if you have taken care to soften your stools that do not require you to strain while relieving yourself. While most of the times you can resort to over-the-counter drugs or herbal remedies to counter the problem, if the condition persists, it is best to seek expert advice.

Topic: What are hemorrhoids ointments and how can they be used (1 replies, posted in Medication reviews)
Hemorrhoid is one of the most common medical conditions that affect a number of people worldwide. It is a painful condition that causes much discomfort to the afflicted. Hemorrhoids refer to the tissues in the anal regions that have been inflamed due to straining during the bowel movements. These veins are situated inside the rectum and generally there is no pain that is felt, until the region swells and gets inflamed. There are also times when there is some bleeding and sometimes it feels like you want to defecate.
There are different types of hemorrhoids. Therefore before you think about a cure, it is required that you know the type of hemorrhoid that you have. Once you know the kind of hemorrhoid that you have, you can find the solution as well. Hemorrhoids can happen both internally and externally. There are times when the internal hemorrhoids protrude outside the anus. This condition is known as prolapsed hemorrhoids. You will feel a lump while wiping your anus. These hemorrhoids will either go back inside your anus by itself, or you will have to push it back gently inside. Hemorrhoids are not serious if treated in the initial stages. However it might cause much pain if treatment is delayed. It might even require a surgery to remove the hemorrhoid.
While hemorrhoid can be extremely painful, it is reassuring to know that it is not a life threatening condition and that it can be treated. The ointment also prevents the occurrence of further infection that is caused by scratching the region.
Hemorrhoid ointments work by blocking the nerve endings. This helps to bring much relief to the affected regions. Regular application of the ointment not only provides temporary relief but also helps to prevent future occurrences. When applied, the ointment coats the skin around the anal region and relieves the discomfort caused by the condition. The ointment can be used for both internal and external application. You can seek the help of medical professional if you are unable to apply it internally yourself.
Hemorrhoid ointments are not very expensive and come at affordable prices. There is also no need to visit a doctor and seek expert advice. These medicines can be bought over the counter without any prescription. Hemorrhoid ointments are extremely helpful in bringing relief from the pain and discomfort. Having these ointments with you will help you prevent the itchiness. Dietary changes play an important role in preventing the occurrence of hemorrhoid. It is important that you consume food high in fiber to prevent constipation. Hemorrhoid is a common condition of the anal and the rectum region that affects a large percentage of the world population. Hemorrhoid is one of the most common problems affecting millions of lives all around the world. Many are embarrassed to report the problem. However it is of utmost importance that the problem be treated at the earliest to prevent it from getting complicated requiring painful surgeries. This prevents them from going out, socializing and hampers their daily life. The good news is that there are a number of ways available to counter the problem.
It is important that you first know about hemorrhoid to treat the problems associated with it. Hemorrhoid happens when veins in the anal and the rectal region get swollen and are painful. These can either happen inside the anus or outside the region. Both are painful and need to be treated at the earliest.

These not only give immediate relief from pain but also help to remove hemorrhoid permanently. These are any day better than the surgical ways to remove the hemorrhoid. However the herbal remedies work only if the hemorrhoid is in the initial stage. In the later stages it is best to opt for surgery. There are a range of surgical procedures that one can opt for.
Apart from hemorrhoidectomy, the traditional surgical way to cut open the hemorrhoid, and remove it from the body, there are also now available laser treatments to get rid of the hemorrhoid. This is far less painful. In surgical procedures it takes a few weeks for the hemorrhoid to heal. There also might be a few side effects after the surgery. The best way is to treat the condition while it is still in the initial stages.
There are a number of easy and safe ways to get relief from hemorrhoid. One of the best ways to get rid of the odor is to take sitz baths. Preparation-H cream, Medicated pads, Witch-hazel ointments and a number of other over-the-counter medications have also been known to help in treating the condition. Wiping the affected parts with a fresh scented towelette and applying powder of deodorant might help keep the smell away.
Apart from treating the condition one must also take care to see to it that the disease does not recur. There is thus no straining required at the time of passing stool. This prevents hemorrhoid from occurring. Some of the best sources of fiber are fruits and vegetables. Drinking adequate quantities of water is also important for a healthy digestive system. This allows for proper bowel movements and helps avoid the occurrence of hemorrhoid.
Having right bowel habits will help to bring down the chances of contracting hemorrhoid. When you feel the urge to pass stool you must do it immediately as delay might lead to hard stool causing straining in the anal region. After each bowel movement it is important that the anal region be cleaned properly. Avoid aggressive wiping of these regions. There are people who like to read in the toilet making them sit for longer duration than usual. This must be avoided. Exercises also help in keeping hemorrhoid at bay. Be careful of the exercises that you do, weight lifting might cause straining of the rectal muscles and lead to bleeding. Cycling too might cause pain so it is best to take expert help before you embark on an exercise regimen.
Though not a life threatening condition, it is required that you take proper steps to cure hemorrhoid to save yourself the pain, discomfort and foul smell that it causes.

Topic: Hemorrhoids Surgery (1 replies, posted in Hemorrhoids doctors and clinics)
Here are some of my thoughts on hemorrhoids surgery.
There are millions of people in the world who suffer from the painful condition of hemorrhoids. A number of people are embarrassed by the problem and try to live with the discomfort and pain associated with the condition. However there are treatments galore to help relieve the pain. There are two kinds of hemorrhoids, external and internal. While the internal hemorrhoids are located on the inside of the anal region, the external hemorrhoids are situated on the outside. Both can be swollen, itchy and cause discomfort.
In hemorrhoids the blood vessels in the rectum region swell and enlarge to form big swollen clots of blood. While these may not hurt initially, it becomes very painful in the later stages. The first indication of the occurrence of hemorrhoids is itching in the region. The condition becomes severe if attention is not paid. There are a number of reasons for the occurrence of hemorrhoids including hyper tension, high blood pressure, obesity, bad food habits and digestive problems. Hemorrhoids can also be genetic. These happen to pregnant women as well.
In extreme situations the hemorrhoids may bleed and become swollen. One of the symptoms of acute hemorrhoids condition is when the swollen mass of tissue starts to come out of the anus. In these cases surgery is the best option. Thanks to the many innovations in the medical field there are now a number of surgical procedures that are available to treat hemorrhoids. Opting for hemorrhoidectomy surgery to get relief from hemorrhoids is the best solution to get lasting relief.
People suffering from the condition may resort to various non surgical procedures to treat hemorrhoids. However there are some people who may not respond to these methods. In such cases it is best to resort to surgery to treat the condition. Many people are faced with the dilemma whether they should opt for surgical procedures in order to be free from hemorrhoids. The answer will depend on the severity of your condition.
Before seeking surgery you must try out the other measures such as topical medications, intake of fibrous items and practicing good hygiene. Many people have found out that the right lifestyle have worked wonders in preventing the happening of hemorrhoids. However if the condition still persist even after having resorted to these practices you might want to opt for surgical procedures.
Hemorrhoids Surgery is performed by cutting away the swollen parts. It is done after applying local anesthesia in the region. This is usually an outpatient procedure and the patient can go home immediately after the surgery is over. A person who has been operated upon will be required to rest for a couple of weeks. During this period it is required that the patient eats right, gets adequate rest and stays away from any kind of strenuous activities.
As hemorrhoidectomy is a painful procedure some patients prefer stapled hemorrhoidectomy. In this procedure the hemorrhoids is stapled into the tissue. This is not only takes less time but is also less painful than the conventional surgery. Laser surgery is also one of the common ways to remove the hemorrhoids. Through this method the hemorrhoids are excised and vaporized. This is regarded as one of the most precise procedures and it can be done without much complications.
Atomizing Hemorrhoids is one of the latest techniques in removing the hemorrhoids surgically. The hemorrhoids tissues are atomized and reduced to particles. It is vacuumed away in just few minutes. Sclerotherapy injects chemicals into the hemorrhoids and dissolves them thus removing them completely. There is also another kind of surgery that involves passing electric current through the hemorrhoids.
However it must be known that there maybe side effects and complications after the surgery. A few of the side effects may include post-operative pain, post-operative bleeding, incontinence and swelling. It is always best to seek expert advice immediately if these happen after surgery.
If you are not keen to undergo surgery there are many other ways you can treat the disease. One of the best ways is to soak the area in warm water or apply hot compress. You can also apply ointments in the affected region. Eating right, drinking lots of water and exercising are also very helpful to prevent the occurrence of the condition. It is best to treat the symptoms as soon as these come up so that you do not have to undergo painful surgical methods later on.
The non surgical procedures focus on the softening and the smoothening of the stool that cause less irritation and also less swelling. Non surgical procedures are good only in the initial stages. When the situation is aggravated, surgery is the best solution. Depending on the severity of the condition there are different surgical procedures that the patients can choose from. It is best to consult a doctor before opting for a surgery to get rid of the hemorrhoids.

Hi Daniel.
Thank for joining and for your email.
Your work is a risk factor for hemorrhoids. Make sure you take some 10 min breaks every 2 hours. Just do some walking, some jumps, shake your legs a little, I'm not kinddin. This will help your anal veins. Do not skip meal, try to keep yourself on the track.
At this age, you can cut smoking very easy. You are probably not addicted, so start to be serious about it and quit it. My advice: suddenly!
From what I read, you have bleeding hemorrhoids. Contact Amoils support and ask them if they ship their bleeding Hemorrhoids formula in Philippine. As for pills, I didn't hear about Paroven, but I can recommend instead Venapro medication.
I definitely think you need to see a doctor. When you do see one, make sure you also talk with him about your father.
I wish you best of luck in fighting hemorrhoids!

Hi Welsh_Girl and welcome.
I never heard this cream, so I did a research on Google. Seems like a good cream, I would really appreciate if you share your experience with this medication here.
There is not much you can do in this phase. Just make sure you eat healthy, be extra-careful when stooling and wiping.
As your doctor said, we have to wait a little and see the progress.
You can also use some natural medication like Amoils, but after you finish the treatment with this other cream. Amoils also requires some time to work. You can also take some pills like Venapro, if Amoils doesn't work.
The problem with your condition is the anal fissures, which tend to aggravate hemorrhoids. Make sure you do some daily exercises (maybe some 1-2 km walks in the evening) and totally eliminate junk food.

Re: Surgery (3 replies, posted in Fast questions)
For bleeding hemorrhoids, the guys from Amoils have a special formula, check their site. Amoils is a topical oil meant for external use, it doesn't affect blood pressure in any way. If you still feel that you need some clarification on Amoils medication, feel free to call/email their support, they are quite fast in replying.

Re: Surgery (3 replies, posted in Fast questions)
Hi and welcome to our forum!
The problem with gym is that during some exercises, while you are flexing your muscles and lifting weights, you are putting a lot of pressure on your back area, thus affecting the hemorrhoids. If you have tried the Amoils and Venapro solutions and they didn't work, you could also take a peak to our hemorrhoids book.
The surgery is really the last thing you should try. Surgery resolves your problem temporarily (1-2 years), but if proper care is not taken, hemorrhoids may reappear. Before trying surgery, you should ask your proctologist if there is no other way to cure your hemorrhoids except operation. Also, patients which had surgery are more sensible in that area and more predisposed to several diseases, including colon cancer.
In conclusion, pay much attention to this condition and don't try to hurry up things. Most patients with hemorrhoids change their eating habits and focus on prevention.

Re: have an appt to see the doctor on thursday but should i go to the ER (1 replies, posted in Hemorrhoids experiences)
Hi there, welcome to our forum. I have moved your thread in the proper section.
If the hemorrhoid is not seriously bothering you (and it seems it's not), wait for the appointment. Don't worry about the bowel movements, treat them as usual (still, you may want to change some things related to this - period of b movement, the way you sit on toilet, the paper you use - make it a soft one, as for babies, and so on). Do your proper exercises as always, but try to focus on the affected area: don't put pressure on it, don't lift heavy weights, and so on.
I don't know of any extensive studies that relate smoking with hemorrhoids. But, as you know, smoking affects the heart and the veins. Hemorrhoids are nothing but weak veins.
In the end, a good solution for your health would be to quit smoking, I'm pretty sure your doc will agree with me on this one.

Re: New Hemroid sufferer (1 replies, posted in Hemorrhoids experiences)
hi RadRacer.
Sorry about the late reply, I was in a small vacation.
Your problem is highly unusual. I can say I saw only 4-5 cases of hemorrhoids at this age.
The thing that caused this is probably the weight lifting. If you were doing exercises for feet and back, it's likely that the pressure caused by the effort to affect the vein walls from your anal region.
Preparation H works in some cases. Has the pain calmed now until this moment? Good thing you are using Aleve. In most of the patients, this works like a charm for the pain, but it's just a moment solution. You have to eliminate the real cause of hemorrhoids. Maybe try another sport, a better diet and so on. Also check our treatment page and our book for more treatment advices.

Hi Spydersgal.
I am apologizing about the late reply, I was out of the office for a few days.
It seems you have some kind of eat disorder. Have you try to read something about increasing your metabolic rate? Hemorrhoids can become painful after a while, in case of severe bleeding, I definitely recommend a specialist visit. The main problem I see here is the eating habit. You must try to change this "poorly eating". Try 3 fixed meals per day:
8.00 - 9.00 - Breakfast
11.00 Fruit/sweets.
13.00-14.00 - Lunch
17.00 Fruit/sweets.
20.00-21.00 - Dinner.
After dinner don't eat anything else, try to make your body comfortable with this diet.

Thanks for your review Anton. I am really happy for you. There is no time frame for your diet, but I would advice you to start paying more attention at what you are eating. If I where you, I would focus on good natural meals, with a lot of vitamins and proteins. And take this as a free advice: always have a fruit before going to sleep. It will do you wonders. Good luck.

Re: Please help. No idea what to do (3 replies, posted in Hemorrhoids experiences)
The suppositors are ok, maybe Amoils could have done a little better. Weight and height are fine, the problem is you have to stop eating junk. I'm pretty sure you have a market near you. Buy vegetables, meat, normal bread and a cooking book. Also, I do believe you will end up cheaper doing market each day than eating at McDonalds each day. The only way to fix the wall veins is to eat healthier. Surgery or any other medication is just temporary.

Hi. I must tell this, you got a lot of problems for you age.
1. HPV has nothing to do with hemorrhoids. HPV is most common at women, so I guess you are a woman.
2. The exercises are a must. Unless you feel discomfort while doing them, don't stop.
3. What is the name of the suppositories you took? Are they recommended for hemroids? Have you read the prospect?
4. I'm not sure you have an internal hemorrhoid. You should definitely see a doctor on this. At your age, I have seen only a couple of cases in my life. It's good that you are not in pain, but if you have an internal hemorrhoid, that would be very common.
5. Start eating more fibers and natural food. What is your weight and height? Do you eat a lot at fastfoods? If yes, than stop it right away.

I am really happy you changed your mind. Hemorrhoids can sometimes denote other weaknesses of your body, and should be taken very serious, especially if they evolve like this.

hi Prakash. Thank you for your comments upon our site! we try our best.
Well, if you won't see a doctor, at least use some proved medication. Check our treatment page. I can recommend either Amoils or Venapro, both have good results. Don't stress to much with this, but watch out at the gym. Don't push it too hard.
If it is as small as you described it, you will get away with no severe intervention.
Best of luck!

I am sorry but you can't advertise your sites in here. Also, the recommendations are copied from somewhere else:

but I'll leave this as example on how NOT to post on this forum.

Jog in the evening; leave 2 hours to rest from dinner and then run for 15 minutes. It ain't long and will do wonders. Your blood circulation will improve, you will feel and be much healthy. Make a habit out of it and do this every day, no exception. Best thing you can do with 15 minutes.

You are right. Your stools would have a darker color if bleeding occurs internally. My recommendations are the following:
1. Start jogging for 15 minutes and then slightly increase it up to at least 30 minutes every day (at your age I think 1h of jogging is appropriate).
2. Eat 3 meals/day: the first between 8-10 am, second between 13-15 and the last between 19-21. Don't eat anything but fruits after 21 pm, and increase the vegetables in your diet.
3. The hemorrhoid problem you have can be treated at the beginning with a solution made from alum crystals (to reduce pain and shrink them - see Chapter 13 of our ebook) and after that with a Amoils/Venapro combination.
4. See a doctor.
Best wishes...

Hi Goz.
You are pretty young, life at your age can be very demanding.
From what I read, I'm not really sure you have hemorrhoids. It could be hemorrhoids, but it could also be some simple small wall breaches in your anal region. The first thing you should do is to see a doctor, since there are a good number of things that can trigger the clots and the blood stools.
Just a few questions to better visualize your problem. Are you in pain right now (is it itching, burning)? Do you make exercises at least 3-4 times per week? Do you go to gym? What is your height? Do you eat healthy (and regularly, 3 times per day)?
I have just released an e-book called Hemorrhoids Treatment Handbook. This book is not just a simple treatment guide, it actually contains some great natural recipes and tips on Chinese medication that can help you by calming down your anal region and healing your irritated tissues, I think you may be interested in it.
