Hi Swissmiss, and sorry about the late reply.
First of all, don't panic. Imagine yourself in 3 weeks from now. I sure you have dealt with pain before, you had 3 childbirths. Don't worry, pain will go soon. JUst hang in htere until the meeting with your doctor.
Now, lets concentrate of the number one problem: pain. Go to the first Chinese pharmacy and buy a laxative for hemroids (something like this one). This will enable a smooth stool, thus lowering the pressure on that area.  Eat more vegetables. Do not eat meat, at least one week or so. This type of disease requires a good strict diet. I recommend 2-3 bananas daily and some products made of chestnuts (like chestnut oil, or related). Take hot baths.
This will get you going until your meeting with the doctor, which is very important. Listen to him carefully and follow all his instructions. If you feel like you also need some little extra, check our hemorrhoid treatment page.

From what I understand, you are young and fit. Usually, external hemroids don't appear at your age, considering your numbers.
I must ask a few questions. What do you do for living? Do you have a job that requires you to stay for long amounts of time on chair? Do you have the nasty habit of sitting long periods of time on WC? And last but not least, the anal sex question.
If your answer is yes on one of the above, you first have to concentrate on prevention, by eliminating the cause.
From what I understood, your hemroid is still very small. Don't worry, if you eat well and with proper care, it can disappear.  One more thing: when washing our wiping you anus area, pay special attention. Be careful not to overdo things, that area is very sensitive.
If you really feel that you need some medication (although, at this point, I would advice you not to take any), you can check our hemroids treatment page. I would also advice you to have a complete medical exam, you may have problems with your blood pressure or lack some vitamins.
