Topic: Surgery

I am concerned about getting surgery I have been having problems with my hems bleeding and protruding.  I am at my wits end and dont want surgery at all.  I have tried creams and suppositories over the last 3 months.  Nothing works, it helps with the swelling if its used everyday.. I would love for them to go away. I have started the gym last October trying to get in shape but the more I exercise the more I have problems.. need help!!

Re: Surgery

Hi and welcome to our forum!
The problem with gym is that during some exercises, while you are flexing your muscles and lifting weights, you are putting a lot of pressure on your back area, thus affecting the hemorrhoids. If you have tried the Amoils and Venapro solutions and they didn't work, you could also take a peak to our hemorrhoids book.
The surgery is really the last thing you should try. Surgery resolves your problem temporarily (1-2 years), but if proper care is not taken, hemorrhoids may reappear. Before trying surgery, you should ask your proctologist if there is no other way to cure your hemorrhoids except operation. Also, patients which had surgery are more sensible in that area and more predisposed to several diseases, including colon cancer.
In conclusion, pay much attention to this condition and don't try to hurry up things. Most patients with hemorrhoids change their eating habits and focus on prevention.

Re: Surgery

I am on blood pressure medication does the amoils affect this medication at all?  Are the amoils something you have to apply for the rest of your life or just when there are flare ups? I want to fix this problem especialy since they have been bleeding more than they have in the past.

Re: Surgery

For bleeding hemorrhoids, the guys from Amoils have a special formula, check their site. Amoils is a topical oil meant for external use, it doesn't affect blood pressure in any way. If you still feel that you need some clarification on Amoils medication, feel free to call/email their support, they are quite fast in replying.
